I am building my second still using a large Beer keg for the boiler , which will send the vapor into a smaller "pony" keg and then into the worm in a 55 gallon barrel. I have noticed that there is
a lot of room in the center of the worm...inside the barrel. Option 1, I was thinking of placing the
Thumper Inside the barrel of cool water. ?? would this have any advantage other than a more compact and inconspicuious look.?? Would this extra cooling factor impact the efficiency of the thumper? Option 2 would traditionally send the vapor into the thumper located between, and at room temperature, would send the vapor to the worm.
BOILER > MASH > VAPOR TRAVELS THRU Cu PIPE INTO THUMPER KEG> OUT THE SIDE INTO THE WORM
VAPOR TRAVELS FROM BOILER INTO THUMPER KEG> OUT THE SIDE AND INTO WORM IN COOLING BARRELL.
