Hi, I found this painting at a thrift shop. It is of a lighthouse up on a hill. The oil paint is very thick on it. I am new to the forum so am not sure how to upload photos.
It is oil on board and has the signature "EVAL" on the bottom left hand corner
I tried to research E VAL on the internet and could not find this artist.
Anyone able to help me identify the artist?

You would have to upload a photo to an image hosting site like photo bucket, imageshack or tiny pic, then copy the URL of the image and paste it between this tag [img][/img]

Look at the back, is there anything that identifies a gallery or studio? That would suggest it's worth something. There's a lot of paintings by complete unknowns out there, and they're not worth much.
