landlord/tenant laws

Hello we moved into a house in April in august I started getting bug bites. I couldn't figure out what the hell it was I was the only one getting bit n I have 2 boys n a bf. We found out in November that they are bed buga . my kids are full of bites. I set up an extermanator to one n get rid of them n to send the bill to the landlord. Well she cancelled the appointment n refused to pay for it. It costs 2400 dollars. We've never ever had problems w these ever. So I'm thinking they were already in the house. Does she have to pay for it? We've also told her bout other broken things in the house n she won't fix them. What should/can we do?? We've been leaving long enough w these I can't do it anymore but I don't have that kinda money to spend on a house I don't own!
