AOL broadband on a Mac?

Hi, I need some advice on AOL broadband (don't blame me, I'd happily change to a different provider but it's not my choice.... )

I'm thinking of switching from PC to Mac but my current internet connection is with AOL broadband (in the UK) and their site states broadband isn't available for Mac.

I read this to mean that they won't support it but it might be technically possible, and I have seen a couple of posts on other boards where people do have it up and running. I've also read somewhere that it's just the broadband content (which I really don't care about) that's not available for Mac.

I'm currently using the BT Voyager 100 USB DSL modem which does have Mac drivers available.

So, does any one out there know if I can do it? Does anyone here use AOL broadband with a Mac in the UK that can tell me how they did it? Please talk slowly if you get technical
