I have tried 2 Intel D865PERL MB's, 3 separate mics and can not get any to work properly. Closest I came was using a headset as a check. Settings that I know of are correct, nothing muted, pink input jack, nothing.
Intels"off shore" tec support center useless. I saw same issue raised in one other forum, but posting was not "resolved".
Other stuff, ATI "all in wonder" (watch the heat), 5 HD"S, lots of RAM,
etc.
Any ideas?
