WK 11 Saints Bengals

During the week 11 Saints Bengals game Andy Dalton threw a pass to Germaine Gresham. The ball was fumbled then kicked into the end zone then recovered by Gresham. The box score listed a TD pass for Dalton, and TD reception by Gresham. A fumble and a recovery were also posted for Gresham. If the ball was fumbled prior to the goal line why was a TD pass given to Dalton? If the fumble occured beyond the goal then why a fumble and recovery? This play determined the out come in my fantasy league, and it is still being questioned till this day. I need to post the definitive answer to our message board.
