Everyone is no doubt aware of the attempt to clone a mammoth, one interesting fact about this, is that the mammoth, is long dead, 40,000 or so years in fact, thus it's DNA is also clearly dead. So it seems that the researchers trying to make a new mammoth, feel that dead DNA is as good as live DNA, or that at least it does not matter. So what kind of code is DNA, if it's being alive is not necessary.
Think computer.........
@DNA Thumbs drive,
no, you think biochemistry.
@farmerman,
So how does biochemistry, incorporate dead parts to make a completely new organism?
@DNA Thumbs drive,
its not the "Last Chance Garage" wer'e talking about.
Do you know anything about which you speak or are you like Herald? Heralf looks up subject titles on Wikepedia and then plops them in his wholly unedited, rambling,run-on, gibberish paragraphs, but if you probe, you can see hes unrmed. Im getting the same vibes from you.
Theres at least 3 great schools in NJ

No, actually I really am not an expert on mammoth cloning, that is why I am consulting with a self appointed mammoth cloning expert like you.
Ignorance, is bliss.
