Well, all, I'm going to say good afternoon now as I need to spend some time with my daughter.

Miss our Irishmen here, so we'll go to them:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHSV8igDiEo

I think that Imur/Liam and euroGeorge are the only on from
The Emerald Isle, but we'll play that for our Irish/American
friends, too.

Great having England with us today.

From Letty with love to the world.

Good morning from a rather strange weather day in our Florida radio station.

Hurry back, edgar/Mark and Latin Geroge.

Loved Dicky Lee doing that version of Patches and also The Rockets by Ray.

Today is this famous painters birthday, so here is a tribute:

Now, another birthday guy, but the song is done by someone new to me:

Hey, Mr. Punny Punchman. Loved Randolph Churchil's The Tipster. Is he any kin to Winston? Smile

Gurda, Welcome back to you as well. Love To Have a Heart by that fantastic vocalist.

I know why the caged bird sings, and why I can't. I'm locked up in my rib cage.

Welcome back to Olivier 5 and Mark.

Loved all the songs, Mon Ami, but the last one was a bit too long.

Loved that trio doing The Wheel's on Fire.

As edgar/Mark knows, I used to think The Andrew Sisters were German:

Now, The Fab Four:

Just one, by those great guys.

@edgarblythe,
Mark, I love Sam Cooke, but that song makes me a bit sad.

Well, I looked out the windows and there was the awful 8 so I had better
say good afternoon now.

First, I was searching for Finland, and found this lovely hymn. As edgar knows, one does not need to be a theist to enjoy this kind of music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvz9PvczUMI

Now, since this is Wodin's Day, a great song by a lovely lady named after that
legendary Viking:

Wonderful having Germany, France, and England with us today/

From Letty with love to everyone here

Some international news. Clearly in 1887 Britain's side in the future war between France and Germany had yet to be decided.

Quote:
THE REASON WHY.

The Parisian Press, discussing the alleged failure of the English
war-ships to answer the salute of the French squadron the other day,
off Cannes, account for the circumstance variously, as follows :—

Because the British Navy has barbaric instincts, and is unac-
quainted with the polite customs of civilised nations.

Because the Yice-Admiral in command is "one poltroon."

Because it was his design to fix an insult on the Municipality of
Cannes.

Because the Mariners on board are animated with the gross senti-
ments of Sir Gilbert-Sullivan.

Because Le Duc D'Edinbourg wished to manifest his jealousy of
the French Flag.

Because he would not sanction the expense of the powder necessary
for the salute.

Because Prince Bismarck had telegraphed to him, " I forbid you
to fire."__
