@George,
Once again replying to all, y'all. Smile

Welcome back, honu. Walk the Same was great, and here's one for you:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOD3ksLF_GE

Ah, my long time friend George, I always enjoy what you play here.

Sorry I can't comment on each one.

33 expert, welcome to our radio station.

That Walk was great. Sorry the music wouldn't play.

Just a further explanation now. The new format of our radio station doesn't
let the volume work sometimes.

Here's a morning song:

and to match Honu's green sea turtles:

Once again, honu's green sea turtles:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOD3ksLF_GE

Some songs are worth playing twice.

Odd, y'all, I thought that when a new person entered
our radio station, the numbers went up. Wonder why it's
still 29?

I shouldn't admit it - but I'm listening to another station right now ... and there is some music I need to bring back.

the program

Quote:
In a segment we call the q Block Party, we invite guests to pay musical tribute to the neighbourhoods they hold dear to their hearts.

Today, comedian Trevor Noah takes listeners on a guided musical tour through Soweto, a neighbourhood southwest of Johannesburg known for its role in the struggle against apartheid and vibrant street culture.

if any of our listeners are podcast fiends, I recommend this

__

first song up

Quote:
Brenda Fassie, "Weekend Special"

"Brenda Fassie was one of south Africa's most successful artists. One of the few artists that actually transcended not just race but also the country's borders. Brenda Fassie's song was on the charts in the US and it's a song about a women who is frustrated by the fact that there's a man who only seems to be able to see her on the weekend and constantly makes excuses."

Here's a musical tribute to my old neighborhood.
This video was made on the gritty East Boston waterfront.

@ehBeth,
Once again replying to all. I intend to make my observation brief.

ehBeth and George. I love ethnicity. When I grew up in Virginia it was rife with different types.

We used to have block parties, and with my husband's jazz band, we have jam sessions
with all types of folks. I realize there can be negative types but I don't
look at that now.

What is alarming me now is universal control. I got a call concerning
my electricity that the price was going to be increased TEN percent in our country.

I still do a quiet prayer every day to help me stay with what's Good.

Bless be the tie that binds us all together in what is right and helpful.

more from Trevor's block party

Lionel Richie, "All Night Long"

"This song I picked because it reminds me of my myself and my mom growing up. My mom loved Lionel Richie. Before my mom became a Born again Christian she listened to a lot of pop music and Lionel Richie was the soundtrack of my home. Lionel Richie was the voice that I woke up to in the morning and the voice that I went to bed to at night."

I love vibes, ehBeth, and Gary Burton did a great job playing that one.

I noticed that he did a song about Copenhagen:

UhOh, the sound didn't work, but I'll bet George and fix it. Smile

That was the theme from Hans Christian Anderson

Dear George, you always fix things right here in our radio station.

Loved Guitar Town by Steve as well as Grant doing Mona Lisa.

Here's the first version of that lady's portrait by Nat:
