Another history mystery, y'all. First the song:

Now, a memory. I recall having walked in one of the libraries at UVA and saw some Russian artifacts. I really believe Mrs. Anderson is that Russian mystery.

Saying good afternoon now with a poem and a fantastic love song:

Invictus - Poem by William Ernest Henley
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Now, the man with the golden voice:

Great having such a great mix of music here yesterday.

I love "Invictus".

Henley had had one leg amputated and would have lost the other but for
the efforts of Joseph Lister who managed to save it. It was during his
recovery that Henley wrote this poem.

Good morning once again, dear tsar. Are the lambs silent on the east coast. Did he who made the lamb make thee? Smile

Latin George, thanks for the reminder of Henley.

You guys hurry back soon, alright?

Two songs for right now:

First, Billy Joel:
