******* channel 7 have clamped down rights on a lot of the YouTube videos. Sort of wonder how to keep the momentum going if they’re not available to watch. Do they plan to now make money from an event that was supposed to be bringing people together?

Had to get a crowd camera shot. Once again “**** channel 7”. Should also note that the soundmixer for the entire concert must have been a cretin.
Speaking of Missy - she sings the theme song Tim Minchin wrote for Upright (which he stars in) the video shows some beautiful Australian landscape too...
Not strictly on topic, but my daughter and I were in the front row at the Sydney Opera House for the Australian production of Six the musical. It was all her idea, but I’m so glad she dragged me to it. By the end I felt like I’d run a marathon- there was so much energy to it. It was an awesome show. This is the final part that they invite people to record on their phones.

Made when Australia’s highest ranked Catholic, and 3rd most senior on earth, was holed up in the Vatican claiming he was too sick to return home and face abuse allegations. Minchin’s offerings are normally comedic, but he’s a hugely talented guy.
I’d never heard of this lady before stumbling across this video. Mirusia Louwerse has been touring with the Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu since 2007 as his star soprano. Australian born to Dutch parents, she’s an amazing talent. As for this performance it’s the best evidence I’ve seen that this should be our national anthem. Advance Australia Fair would never get this reaction.
This was played at the end of the Sydney Olympics and no kidding it was goose pimple time, with 50,000 of us singing along. Make it our national song or anthem.
