Spyware and other crap

A while back I got infected with the sasser virus, so I really tightened up my security and updates. I have Pest Patrol, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, and Microsoft auto-updates turned on.

Since then, I have had zero, zilch, none-such problems. Not even a single piece of detectable adware.

My question now is, is this normal? We were getting inundated with that crap before, and now, none. Seems odd. But I like it.

Email viruses have subsided recently (this is normal as it's cyclic).

A few weeks ago I was getting several dozen viruses a day through email (not getting infected, of course), now only a few.

Same here. I used to dread opening my ISP E Mail. I was never infected, but it WAS aggravating. In the last few weeks, I've had zilch!
