Deadly Extraction

"In dreams, She walks through memories, Not known to her. Soon the end be shown, soon the truth be known."

Chapter one; the Dream

Jessica Thomson, a pretty blue eyed, blonde haired girl, slim built, quite small about 5,1 in height. She was the daughter of a highly respected professor who specialists in the field of the study of genetics. Her life could be rated as complicated, but a lot had happened in her past terrible experience's she had dealt with as a child and forgotten with time, put up a mental block you could say. Laura Thomson her mother, very attractive, light blue eyed, dirty blonde haired woman, slim built, quite small like her daughter about 5,2. She had died at the age of 24 from cancer of the brain, Jessica was only 5 years old at the time but still remembered the day it happened. Her father usually came home from work at 9pm but that night he was late, finally at around 1am her father stumbled through the door, reeking of booze. She knew he had been drinking, He sat down next to her patted her on the head and told her, her mother had died in hospital and went on to explain the whole heaven subject. Harry Thomson Jessica's father, A good-looking, brown eyed, dark brown haired male, medium built, tallish, about 5,8 in height. Like said before was a professor in the field of genetics, He'd been trying to create a cure for cancer for years since the day his wife had been diagnosed with brain cancer. He worked from the early morning thought to the late night hardly saw his child or wife was so determined to find a cure, She remembered the day her father said her mother died her mother and father had both left together leaving her along with a babysitter. But the babysitter left just before 9pm like she always did knowing Mr Thomson always made it home on time, Actually after that seemed to be a blur to her only bits and pieces seemed to remain, almost as she willed herself not to remember. Jessica had run away from home at the age of sixteen, she missed her mother and her father didn't seem to understand her, she tried her best to please him even visited him whilst he was at work. Once when she visited all the workers were talking but as she walked in silence came to the room, her father turned and dropped a test tube he was examining, "Laura…how can this be". Jessica walked towards her father and knelt down starting to pick up the broken pieces of glass, then spoke in a low tone "Father…Its me Jessica…don't you even know your own daughter?" She kept her gaze upon the floor. Harry leant against the desk then wiped sweat drops from his forehead "What are you doing here?" he said whilst looking down towards his daughter. She looked up at him then moved her hand flat on the floor trying to get up forgetting about the test tube "ouch!" she looked down towards her hand the glass on the floor had cut her hand and some of the liquid had entered her blood stream. "Quick get the antidote! Hurry we don't have much time" she heard her father shout towards his workers, She began to feel faint, dizzy, after afew seconds more she heard all voices stop and darkness fall over her. Afew a month later after the accident people seemed to fear her, eyes were always looking upon her that's when she decided that she'd had enough. That night Whilst her father was asleep she grabbed her already packed suitcase from under the bed and leap out her window. Pulling car keys from her pocket she opened her father's car door and started the engine driving off towards the city limits finally free from all the people she once looked upon as friends.

Now she was twenty-one had a husband, expecting a child, what more could anyone want. Afew months ago she had spoken to her father for the first time in 5 years, They'd talked for hours catching up on old times, He'd said he would love to see her sometime. They'd arranged that she'd come visit in the spring where she could relax and catch up with some old friends she'd left behind, the idea sounded wonderful but her husband couldn't go because he had an important business deal to complete in spring. Spring was soon coming closer she'd be leaving for her hometown in a day or two, she was overjoyed, always talking about the good times she'd had as a child, oh but never of the bad times or the forgotten memories she'd blocked out many years before.

Recently she'd be having weird dreams about her mother and another strange happenings, terrible nightmares, she'd wake up screaming nearly every night it had been going on for the past few weeks now. Her husband was very understanding and was always there to calm her down, but when he asked her if she remembered the dreams she was having. Her mind became a blank, almost as if the thoughts within her mind had turned like a sand timer and restarted over again, erasing what once lay in her mind. Alex Harrings, reasonable looking man, brown eyes, black hair, quite tall about 5,9, worked as general manger in a supermarket store that was gaining more customers everyday. He'd come home every night and crawl straight into bed, only took him afew mins to fall asleep, but after an hour or so he'd always be working up by Jessica's screaming. Well he could of used the spare room to get some well deserved sleep but he didn't want to leave her alone, he loved his wife very much and she meant the world to him. That night Jessica was sat up in bed reading a book in bed called "poetry from beyond". As her husband arrived home he lay next to her and like always after afew mins was off wondering in the dream world somewhere. Jessica began to feel tired and the words became blurred soon after she'd fallen asleep, the book landed in her lap and the room turned silent, only the wind could be hear tapping against the window and the sounds of peaceful sleep.

Jessica reopened her eyes she was no longer in her room, laying in her nice warm bed; instead trees surrounded her, and the smell of burnt fresh lingered in the air, she had to grasp her mouth to keep herself from throwing up. As she looked down she noticed she was stood on what seemed to be a path of died dead leaves trailing off to somewhere deep within the forest where the darkness lay with breaks of light leading the way.

She begun slowly walking on the path of dead leaves hearing them crumble under the weight of her feet. As she became used to the surrounds she was in she quickened her pace and followed the path deeper into the forest, suddenly she had to stop the path was no longer there now infront of her was an old oak tree staring down at her. Taking a deep breath she stepped upto the tree and tapped it hearing a hollow sound, "umm" she thought to herself "Theres more to this tree than seen to the eye". She starts pulling at the branches hoping something will happen but the tree doesn't respond to her activities, slowly as she steps back she catches the heel of her foot on the trees root and the tree slides away. She moves forwards and sees a staircase leading downwards and decides to follow it down. As she takes her first few steps she heres the tree slide back into place "well no turning back now" shes says to herself sighing. Finally she reaches the bottom of the staircase and notices a door slightly ajar slowly creeping towards it she sees a lowly lit room. Inside she hears many voices seeing now and again people walking past her view in white lab coats. She enters the room and walks to a person tapping the keys on a keyboard and looking at a computer screen, "hello…" she says to him looking nervously towards him. He ignores her and carries on his work, then she sees someone she knows its her father he's also dressed in a white lab coat and holding a clipboard in one hand a pen in the other. Slowly he begins to walk off down a long corridor towards what seems to be a sealed off room only certain people are allowed to enter, she follows him calling to him "Father…. Father" he doesn't hear. From his pocket he pulls a key card and inserts it into a slot within the wall a light blinks green and a computerised voices says, "access granted". He opens the sealed door and walks through it but before it can shut Jessica slides into the room and hears the door slam shut behind her and seal again. Infront of her, her father stands tapping on a large glass tub in the center of the room then writes something on his clipboard and then walks off towards a room at the back. Jessica walks towards the glass tube and suddenly a light floods through it and a woman's body appears covered in wires and tubes then the eyes open quickly and in her mind she hears her name been called "Jessica…help me Jessica….".

This is a really great concept, and you have a unique style. I have a few nitpicky points regarding structure, but I think you are on your way to a good story. Keep it up.

I agree with Cav; I really enjoyed it. My one biggest suggestion is that you split up your paragraphs into smaller ones; and make your sentences less long, somehow. Both of these hurt the reader's eyes, and you don't want them not to read your story just because of a few line breaks. Anyway, make sure that you post any reworked versions here.
