I was wondering if I could have a HiJackThis log looked over. I'm infected with the belgiandip/offeroptimizer/whatever aggressive advertising bug. I get about 1 or 2 popups every time I visit a new page, and about 3 or 4 when I close out of all windows. I've run CWShredder, Ad-Aware, Spybot, and McAfee Virusscan. I still have the problem. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Make sure you have Set Windows to show Hidden Files & Folders, then reboot into safe mode and find then delete:

C:\WINDOWS\twaintec.dll <-------- Delete this file
C:\Program Files\Open Site <-------- Delete this folder

Run Adaware and Spybot again then reboot and post a fresh log and tell us if you are still having problems (be specific).

I followed all of your steps, but there is still some pop-ups coming up whenever I close a window or open a new one. most of these pop ups are from no-beba-el-agua, but there have been others as well nicluding adserver, advnt05, and exitexchange. Here is the new log:

I assume this would all go away if I tried my Operating System restore CD from Dell, but I want to save that as a last resort. I want to see how much I can do before I have to resort to that. Thanks for the help!

I can't find any information on the following entries:

I would try fixing them with HJT and see if things improve. It only prevents them from starting up at boottime so don't worry about losing anything.

interestingly enough, these two are not appearing in my HJT log anymore. i deleted the first one of the three you gave me, but these two i cannot find anymore. i tried running HJT again about an hour later and it did the same thing.

I'm still getting pop-ups, usually 2 after closing/opening a window, from no-beba-el-agua.com.

Looks like these two:

Have morphed:

If you've rebooted since posting this log then they've probably morphed again so run HijackThis again and look for two random files like these and fix them then delete them from C:\WINDOWS\System32.

Post back when you've done that and let us know if that solves your pop-up problem.

I decided to wait a day and see if anything else would happen, and so far the pop-up problem seems to be solved. I guess I'll post another HJT log just in case of anything else.
