This is about the subsidies on the policies negotiated on the main US Government website, a literal technical reading of the law says this is not allowed. Most watchers think that this was bad writing and bad proofreading, and that no one notice the mistake till after it was a law because no one or almost no one ever read the bill in entirety. No subsidies and almost no one signs up because after all who can afford to pay what our broken medical system charges right? Lose all of these people who are on these subsidies and ObamaCare crashes we hear.
My own expectation is that they will weasel out of doing anything other than issuing a few stern words though they should. First off SCOTUS needs to make up for approving this constitutional abomination called ObamaCare in the first place, and lawmakers need to be taught that they need to make law well and correctly, that if they turn out crap like ObamaCare it WILL be interpreted as written, and if these are not the correct words that the other two branches best get their **** together and get the law amended so that it is correct. They should take no interest in the claims from POTUS that this law is a national treasure that they better not dare messing with or his other big claim that he wants to do the right thing but those bad boys over there wont do the right thing and it is not fair and it is not his fault and they better not sanction him because of the idiots over in Congress and destroy his beautiful wonderful law.
It is time for the rotating bloviating toads in Congress and in the POTUS to understand that running the democratic framework of the leader of the free word is serious business, that their childish antics and routine lies and complete inability work together to look out for the people has to go. SCOTUS should tell the rest of the people in Washington that if they are going to screw around by writing poorly worded bills and then make these flawed bills law without even reading them then they are going to get a public shaming from seemingly the last bunch of adults in town, SCOTUS.
@hawkeye10,
Yes, the are going to gut Obamacare (ACA). They are going to say the law says what the law says and if Congress wants to fix it, it is a simple matter to pass an amended law.
