I'm writing a story where "evil" needs to be changed into "good," or "holiness." These are not just mere concepts, but actual entities. Would their transformation be called "sublimation?"
@shua,
If your story is alchemy related, why couldn't it?
Quote:And Sublimations we make for three causes,
The first cause is to make the body spiritual.
The second is that the spirit may be corporeal,
And become fixed with it and consubstantial.
The third cause is that from its filthy original.
It may be cleansed, and its saltiness sulphurious
May be diminished in it, which is infectious.
@timur,
How is this alchemy? It sounds like religious philosophy.
Evil turning good without steps for transformation (sublimation) sounds interesting.
People mostly have both inside, and sometimes we are good and sometimes we are evil.
Now well, you portrait the scenario of evil itself -as an entity- becoming good.
What is wrong with you people? Why always keeping such a tendency? Why not doing it on reverse and good becoming evil at last? It will sound more liberal, more progressive...
