I am making a website with soundclips from albums. The music has to start when you click on an image.
It does work when I make a direct link to the mp3 file... BUT on every pc/mac/browserversion/os-version/windows-version I get different results: new pages open, players open inside the website, stupid questions are asked...etc etc etc
Does anybody know a way (without using flash or popups or new pages) to make the music play? I dont mind sound players opening (for example) but they should open outside the site, or something like that...

You can have embedded players but that too is subject to user enviroment as not all users will have all players...
