I don't think that we're supposed to talk about this on here, but don't you have to burn them in mp3 format?

You moron!
A DVD can't play .AVI files. You have to download them in VCD and then hope that the DVD you purchased can actually read avi files.
And how the heck are you gonna encode a VIDEO file into an MP3!?!?

Official Statement: As I do not support this type of downloading I refuse to answer this question.

Actual Statement: I'd like to know how to do this too!

Ok, ok. The moron post was a joke by the way.

I think Nero and Easy CD Creator allows you to create a video cd (VCD) and a Super-video CD (SVCD) and Nero allows you to create a Mini DVD but I'm not sure how that works so let's stick to the other ones. I think Nero converts avi files to the VCD format but first, check that your DVD plays VCD's or SVCD's. Mostly the cheap ones do this like Apex and stuff. Don't buy Panasonic because they don't even have MP3. The cheaper they are, the better.

I create VCD and DVD's all the time for various uses but never yet a downloaded movie - I can take the pictures and movies I take and burn them into a show. I did one for a friends graduation party this weekend, well I can also put it ot to the VCR by not the the most favored method.

ps I use a program used Showbiz DVD - great stuff.
