Ok - this is sort of funny - but odd too. I am wondering if it is something to worry about.
I was chatting to a friend the other night, and he asked me to download a file to him in the chat.
It was HUGE - so, since I am on dial-up, and he on cable, we went to bed and left the damn thing going overnight.
Next day, he emailed me to let me know it worked (I had tried to email it before - but it exceeded, by 1%, the size of my ISP's allowed email size) - but added a puzzled query about the "other file". Er - there WAS no second file!
When we caught up, he said that two files had arrived. The second - which I HADN'T sent - was a 3 minute porn video!!!! I wondered if a porn site (I'm getting lots of porn spam) had somehow insinuated the file onto my computer, but I do not have it.
It seems that someone added it during the download.
Er - how? Should we worry? Have we ben hacked, what? Should we do anything?
So far, it seems like a silly joke!
Oooooo!
I don't play with that one much. Sorry. Can't explain the mysterious 2nd file on that one.
Lucky I know the fella well!
He has a mac.
It is all very weird.
It's more than likely that it is one of many recent methods for IM spam.
I'd upgrade your IM programs.
Update, or upgrade?
I am checking for updates now.
You can upgrade?????
Thankee!!!!!
I seem to have already had that version. I will check re his.
