mikey,
If I could choose where I'd live in the next 5 years I'd be interested. Boston/NY are the US cities that I'd like to live in.

I love my palm pilot! It's better than dirty huge newspapers. I get BBC, CNN.....
C'mon - like I am g0nna believe that stuff about the pilot light!
But - really - what IS a palm pilot -I keep hearing about them - is it a mini-computer that tells you where to go?
It's like a bush pilot, only in Florida.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
deb,
It's a mini computer, there are thousands of programs that can run on it.
I use it to play chess, read newspapers, surf the web, and it also has my address book and agenda.
Thank you! A sensible answer - that is how it's done, Patio ....... ~:> p
...thouh I guess, to be fair, it might not be generally reasonable to think I might WANT a sensible answer.......
It's a multi-pronged ballpoint pen.
...with little plastic palm fronds coming out the top... duh...
How else are you going to write a message to put in a bottle? (Oh, that Stings...)
And here all this time I thought a Palm Pilot was for when you were flyin' solo....
SEEEEEEEE!!!!!! It DOES sound like a double entendre!
Why isn't there a
www.luddite.com? (he says without checking first...)
Okay... he says a minute later. I checked. Not dot com, but
http://www.luddite.net/
This tells me something that I've known for years. Folk who prefer Unix to Windows are Luddites at heart. Aw, hell... I wrote a DOS batch file just t'other day to do something that would be tedious in Windows.
I get paid to push technology around. Why would I want to spend my free hours letting technology push me around for free?
I give up. Why would you?
So how does studying to be a biologist fit in?
Hmmmmmmm - could make you a Dr Frankenstein......
"That's FrankenSTEEN!"
LOL, I'd never thought of that!!!
I make lots of weird connections...

Unix! YES YES!
Don't you just hate that sometimes it takes 30 mouse clicks to do something in Windows that could have been done in DOS with one 5 word command line? I have a DOS box opened on my desktop most of the time because it's still easier to go that route a lot of times.
