Samsung galaxy S3 and Kies

I need some help regarding my phone issue. since three months I am struggling to transfer my files and make a back up.
Samsung kies says I have to have Samsung kies 3, okay I have downloaded it. Then I connect the phone it says "to run the Samsung kies 3 I need to have Windows XP SP3, " what is already in my PC. Can some one tell me what should I do? I have reinstall the kies but it does not help. Is some one out there experiencing the same? This is really annoying. Any help or guide line?

I too got the same error ..haven't got any solutions which work.
