Forgive me if this question is in the wrong place or... anything else for that matter >_>;; I am a newbie, yes, yes, ... curse me Razz
But, back to my question at hand really. I came home today and saw that NIS had a window up asking me if I wanted to permit inetinfo.exe to access the Internet. Never seen the file before, so I looked it up, with mixed reviews.
Not sure what information I should give out to help you, help me, but I'm running XP Pro has mah OS and I have IE 6.0 if that helps anything.

inetinfo.exe
unless youre running a web server you dont need that running.
in a web browser type 127.0.0.1, that will show you whatever page you are running from your computer

if you dont want to be running a web server go to add/remove programs and click add/remove windows components on the left
then look down the next list for internet information services and uncheck it then click next and so on, it will then want to reboot possibly

Very Happy
