Spontaneous Haiku

My wife and I were at the movies, and I commented on how the cotton candy I had really melted in my mouth, so she said, "just like your hopes and dreams." Without missing a beat I said, "I wrote a haiku about it:

My cotton candy,
Not unlike my hopes and dreams,
Dissolved in my mouth.
