Use a word to depict the two images, and use your intuition to do it

Well, at first look, my intuition tells me:
Bardeen is handsome while Sanger is shabby.
(The question is: I don't know the word shabby is used properly here to depict a man)
What is your opinion?
It is your turn to describe them.

The two images:

Frederick Sanger:

I wonder "shabby" can be used to depict him.

@oristarA,
Well sure.

He does look shabby. He needs a haircut.

There's no denying he looks a lot more comfortable than the first guy.
