A simple fishing riddle

2 fathers and 2 sons go fishing. They all catch a fish and place it in the cooler box. They shut the lid and do not open it until arriving home. Upon opening it there are only 3 fish. Shocked Why is that? Arrow Rolling Eyes

Grandfather, father and son = 3.

Gradfather and father = 2 fathers
father and grandson = 2 sons

easy peasy

That answer's too obvious. I say one of the fish was a pirana. Also, imagine if the fathers and sons are themselves the fish. That opens a lot of doors to the imagination.
