In general, if you head tells you one thing, and your heart tells you another, which one do you go with?

My heart used to tell me what to do - it believed in things like destiny, but in the wrong way - now I try to think with my mind and feel with my heart (so to speak).

I hope that meant something.

I use my head more than my heart...BUT...

because I use my head, I have to be careful not to forget about my heart.

A few years ago, I was feeling confused and a bit "down". I couldn't change the way I felt by thinking about it - I couldn't convince myself to feel better by arguing with my feelings.

My solution was to imagine a state/situation in which my feelings were better. I pictured that and set it as a goal. Then all I had to do was think about the practical steps I needed to take to get there. Of course, just planning those steps and knowing that there was a possible solution made me feel better.

I've used that principle ever since, when I'm confused about how to act on my feelings!
