I look to the sea,
to the Earth,
and to man.
And I fail to see
what you proclaim.
I try so hard.
I sense something greater,
and I am less
than what you have offered.
I am nothing more
than an infitesimal piece
of a cosmic puzzle.
Living my life
playing my part
all fated.
I am but a single Neuron
in the brane of time,
with no singular will.
I am but a single cell
in the organism of the Universe
doing my duty.
Maybe my cell is bigger,
my Neuron brighter,
but no more will do I have.
Alone
in a network of Life,
surrounded by a Universe.
