I'm new to excel. I have this data , am trying to evaluate.
cycle router reading
1 2 SKWR
1 2 SKWR
1 3 SKWR
1 3 SKWR
1 7 SKWR
2 1 SKWR
3 4 SKWR

i'm trying to have count for SKWR BY cycle and route like it should show
cycle router reading COUNT
1 2 SKWR 2
1 3 SKWR 2

any help apperciate

Oh, you would be able to do this a lot faster and more easily with MS Access.

But you can potentially do this with a pivot table. You would need to select the entire data area you wanted to pivot on, have it create the pivot pane (it's a blank that you will click and drag the data elements to) on a separate sheet and then drag the data elements you want to count to the left to place them into a vertical column and then select Count as what needs to be calculated.

I am not explaining this well so you would likely do best to go to the Microsoft website and start clicking around Help for pivot tables.
