sez you! Where's the Aussies?????
It must have been the northern hemisphere championships - there's not a team from the southern hemisphere in the whole draw - not just the quarters!
Margo, he's talking about ICE hockey. We're not real competitive in that one.
right - you probably need ice in places other than your drink!
He doesn't say ice hockey though! The website doesn't mention it, either, but there are pix of people on skates!

hey, hockey is on ice, when it's FIELD hockey, THEN you have to mention it's not NORMAL hockey
not in Oz - we play hockey and we don't have ice!
Sweden - Latvia 4:1 (FT)
Czech Republic - USA 2:1 (end of 2nd)
Margo - don't tell me you drink everything warm?
We do have refrigeration! Ice in drinks is an American habit! You only get it served here at McDonalds!
hey, I am not American, nor anywhere close

and I use ice in drinks - probably in all possible drinks except beer and wine (and coffee heh)
MOU, you really should try iced coffee in the summertime. Just brew the coffee about twice as strong as you usally drink it, then pour it over an amount of ice equal to the amount of coffee (don't do it in a glass, you can shatter the glass--pour the coffee over the ice, and then pour it all in the glass). The Vietnamese make a wonderful iced cafe au lait, as well--i think it is usually referred to in the U.S. as "planter's coffee."
thanks for suggestion - I will.
btw, considering subject of topic - Czech Republic-USA - penalty shootout just beginning...
so far three misses on both sides
festival of bars

but, eventually someone had to win...
1/4 finals
Today:
Sweden-Latvia 4:1
Czech Republic - USA 2:3 (penalty shootout)
Tomorrow:
Canada - Finland
Slovakia - Switzerland
Since most of the best hockey players in the world play in the NHL, which is currently having its own playoffs, it make me wonder just who exactly is playing this championship?
"Ice in drinks is an american habit". Another reason not to leave the U.S.
I think players from teams that are not still in competition are mostly playing - at least for european teams.
But you are completely right, world hockey federation is obviusly run by idiots. World championship is always scheduled while NHL is in playoffs
Full results of 1/4 finals:

Czech Republic - USA 2:3 (penalty shootout)
Canada - Finland 5:4 (overtime)
Slovakia - Switzerland 3:1
Semifinals (Sat, May 8th)
