Carbon-14 has a half-life of 5,730 years. A specimen analyzed in a lab contains only 1//4 of the original Carbon-14. How old is this specimen?

@barryrobinholt,
After one half life it would have half, after two, only a quarter, so 2 x 5730 = 11,460 years.

@barryrobinholt,
Two half lives (1/4=1/2*1/2). 2*5730 years = 11460 years.
