That's because, like I said, you're a happy guy!
My dad wore white shoes in the 70's.
We kids used to chuckle!
That's why I HAD to comment on yours! Smile

I meant the 1970's! Smile
But the 70's work too!
Whatever makes you happy works, and those sound like some comfy shoes!

Anybody try Mephistos? I never have, but I hear they're great.

I had some ECCO's once that I really liked, but the job I had required walking through a lot of mineral based machining fluids, and the soles disintegrated.

Yes! I have a pair of Mephisto sandles for summer, and they are awesome. Pricey though. I had a pair of Mephisto black brogues for several years that were also great. Wore them out beyond repair, sadly.

Also, replaced my Doc Martens for a sturdy Roots boot for winter. That boot seems practically indestructible.

kitchenpete beats me; I have only 14 - in my closet. There might be a couple more in the garage, but that doesn't come close to 24, and I "worked" for a shoe company. Wink

I have 1 pair of brown shoes and one pair of black shoes for work. 1 pair of Soloman hiking boots, 1 pair of Teva's for water stuff and summer, and 1 pair of high-top basketball shoes.

I buy only Dexters, once a year , in Maine, where I buy a years supply of shoes. I wear all my shoes in the field or in the office, it dont matter. My only problem is , I dont throw any shoes out when they get really nasty.
I do have 2 pair of cowboy boots that, although , older than my chidren, are easily polished and look quite dressy . They are nice and comfortable. I wear the black ones at funerals and the maroon ones to gigs

Shoe report:
Bought a new pair of runnies at an outlet in North Conway NH. First time I ever saw a quad-E Asics.

I have to accomodate wide feet, hammertoes, a bit of a bunion, and a fallen metatarsal arch. Limts my selection.

I tried on a pair of Doc Martins. Supposed to be comfortable, but they didn't work with my particular foot.

You only have one foot roger? That would make buying shoes a problem. It could just be that the foot is opinionated, like mine.
