how to delete the damn gain program?

this damn GAIN program is on my computer again.

how do i delete it? i don't even know when i got it installed.

What's a gain program. If it's spyware you could try this thread.

Do you have DivX pro 5.1 installed? If so, removing Gain/Gator will disable it unless you leave a registry key of theirs.

Then try running AdAware and Spybot (there are links in the thread Wilso linked to) and afterwards let us know how it went. If they don't get it we can help you with a manual uninstall.

Removing Gator/Gain
If I remember correctly somewhere in the Adaware help menu, it says not to remove Gator/Gain using the program. But I am not sure just how you should remove it. Think you should do it manutally with help from the board here. Would be interested in seeing the instructions for that too.

hello.

i found a way. i presssed alt shirt and delete. the task manager pops up.
then i disabled the damn gmt.

after i disabled it, i was able to delete the whole program.

i tried to block the site cb04.com something like that, it didn't work.
