Hi there,
Who are some actors in Oscar nominated films that have a small role, but are still memorable?
An example of one of these characters is Dolly Polito (The Mayer's Wife) in "American Hustle".
Specifically, I'm looking for memorable"small role" actors in the films listed below:
- Nebraska
- Philomena
- 12 Years a Slave
- The Wolf of Wall Street
- Blue Jasmine
- August: Osage County
- The Broken Circle Breakdown
- The Grandmaster
- The Great Beauty
- The Hunt
- The Missing Picture
- Omar
Thanks!
@ResearchPad,
that guy seth something i think who starred opposite leonardo dicaprio was a breakout in wolf. his supporting role was so foreign for what he is used to doing that it made the movie. It was a smaller role then leonardo's but a Huge role for him as an actor.
@trishathelizardqueen,
There is no Seth working in the Wolf of Wall Street. Are you referring to the already nominated once before, Jonah Hill? His role in The Wolf of Wall Street isn't a small role.

Why? What are you exactly trying to answer with that question?
