And Barry Goldwater is about to climb out of his grave and kick their collective butts.

Washington (CNN) -- To veto or not to veto: It's up to Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer.
She must decide if she is going to sign into law legislation that would allow business owners, as long as they assert their religious beliefs, to deny service to gay and lesbian customers.
If she approves it, the state could face litigation and a boycott, potentially harming Arizona's economy and tourism industry as well as next year's Super Bowl. http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/24/politics/arizona-brewer-anti-gay-bill/
This is such bizarre irony. People want to use their freedom from discrimination on the basis of their religion to discriminate against a different group.

@2tfx,
As I've seen this GOP thing on many threads, I finally checked googlywotsit to see what it stood for.
Any other Brits who may be curious, it stands for "Grand Old Party".
Sounds something like what my nan had when she turned 90.
except to the right wing in the United States, it means " God Only Party"
That is false.
I 'm about as extreme right wing as anyone can get
and I don t see it in religious terms; never did.

She vetoed the bill.
USA TODAY
PHOENIX -- Facing intense pressure from political and business interests
and a growing public outcry, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer announced
Wednesday that she had vetoed Senate Bill 1062, which would have
allowed businesses to refuse service to gays and others based on religious beliefs.
Brewer said the Arizona bill was unnecessary legislation that
threatened the state's recovering economy by driving away high-
profile events such as next year's Super Bowl and corporations
looking to relocate to Arizona.
