Novice rowing/crew question?

I just started rowing a couple of days ago. I don't really know what a good time is for a novice crew 1K. Here are my last two times. Can you tell me what they mean and overall how okay they are. Also, what are some other good workouts for a new rower?

First Time:
Strokes per minute: 39
Average /500: 2:57.3
Split Time: 2:48
Finish Time: 5:54

Second Time:
Strokes per minute: 38
Average /500: 2:28.3
Split Time: 2:25
Finish Time: 4:56

500m Sprint:
Strokes per minute: 42
Split Time: 2:26.2

The strokes per minute are high because I sprinted at the end.

Also, I am 5'4" and 113 pounds, am I too small to think about rowing competitively?

@jaseyrae412,
According to this, you're a little slow.

5'4" and 113 lbs. sounds more like a coxswain. Weight matters, and lighter coxswains are better. See -
