Okay, so I'm a cheap bastard. I try to use as much free stuff off the net as I can. It's not that I don't buy software, I'm just selective of what I buy.
Recently, I was looking at
www.snapfiles.com, and they are an excellent repository of freeware & shareware software. In looking for AVG 7.0 (which I didn't realize was a paid-licesnse package) I came across Avast!, and it has both high marks from the site and the users.
So I was curious if anyone here has any experience with Avast! It looks good, but I've got to admit that AVG has been doing pretty good for me.
