Michigan Extended Benefits

Greetings. New to this forum. Have a specific question with reference to Michigan Unemployment. I am currently still on a state unemployment claim which expires in Late March. (1). assuming legislation passes, will I be eligible to begin EB benefits when my state claim is exhausted? (2). If legislation passes & I begin EB benefits and we again fall into the legislation expiration, will I be allowed to finish that term and continue to collect EB benefits?

Thank you for the help!

Mark

@nothingseeker,
Hi Mark!

I know that nobody here wants to steer you wrong (and that you probably don't want to spend time on hold on at Michigan Unemployment), but that's probably the way to go.

If the waits on hold are particularly long, you might want to contact your local state representative or even the local consumer affairs reporter. I'm sure you're not the only person with these kinds of questions.
