I could use some expertise with this hijack this file. Could you help out with what needs to be checked for fixing

Monger knows this stuff better than I, but he's offline for a while so I'm going through all these posted logs quickly.

The ones that jumped out at me were:

Looks good so far. about:blank is just an empty browser window, nothin' to worry about.

Please reboot your computer and make sure the spyware doesn't come back upon start up (which would indicate that I missed something).

I would suggest having HiJackThis fix it before going any further. Then, if you have previously run CWShredder, find it and delete it, then download a fresh copy to a folder of its own you will create on your C: Drive. To create a folder on your hard drive, right-click "My Computer", Select "Open", then find, select and open the folder for your C: drive, and from the toolbar in that folder, Select "File", then select "New", then click "Folder". When "New Folder" appears, give it a name you will recognize as the download you are about to perform. ( Direct Download of CoolWebShredder from Spywareinfo ). Disable system restore ( How to Disable System Restore: XP ), then boot into safemode ( Starting Win XP in Safe Mode[/i][/b] ), find and open the CWShredder folder, and run CWShredder, selecting "Fix". Then find-and-delete-if-found all files and folders named or closely resembling "twaintec", "Xoffer", and "riversoftware". Do mot delete files or folders named "Twain(whatever)" or "Twunk(whatever)", those are needed by your camera and scanner. If in doubt, post the name of the file or folder you are unsure of here before doing anything to it.

Now reboot normally and see what happens. Let us know, please.
