Hi, i have a 1TB FAT32 Hard Drive. I've been using it for the last few years. it has Music, Movies and pictures on that i don't want to lose!
I plugged it into my PS3, didn't detect it! I plugged it into my laptop, didn't detect it! The hard drive works, lights are on, making the usual noises, but it doesn't show in 'Computer'. I've been into Computer Management, but can't seem to be able to do anything. I can see the HD there but it's telling me it's not Initialized or Unallocated! What has happened? How can i fix this? I don't want to lose anything, there is ALOT on there............

Beats me.
This computer help forum is pretty good so your best bet is to ask there in the 'External Hardware' section-

PS- i use an external drive myself for extra space but I never leave stuff on it for extended periods, I burn it to DVD at regular intervals because a backup disk is forever..
