I quit smoking a year ago and gained about twenty pounds. I've been exercising since early October and can see the poundage melting away but the love handles persist. Any advice on getting rid of them and fast? There's a big family event coming up in mid-February and I have got to look GOOD.
Partial sit-ups, eoe. Guaranteed.
(Congratulations, by the way!)
Thanks Rae. I'm doing crunches now, 4 sets of 10, 3 times a week. It's probably time to increase them, tho. Yippie.
That was the hardest part about weight training for me to deal with ~ increasing the increments.....Oy!
Keep at it, eoe, it will work ~ I promise!
(Keep me posted!)
You train with weights Rae???
When I had a weight machine, yeah. The ex now has custody of that, too. I'm working on getting it back though.
Good morning to you too, by the way.
Details, details.....how about.....Hello!
When you do your situps make sure to twist to one side then to another. You need to do situps that focus on your sides.
Don't sweat the small stuff, I wish I only had 20 more lbs. to lose.
You may never lose exactly where you want to lose, but i'm sure improvements can be made.
There's always liposuction, if you want to go that route.
Here's something to consider, you're good enough just the way you are.
There will always be someone who looks better then you, and someone who looks worse then you. The idea is to do the best you can with what you have, and have a clear conscience about it. The rest really isn't up to you. Much of it is genetic, as well as age related.
Cross training is the way to go, and weight training is especially helpful for women.
Sensible weight training is good for everyone. Muscle tissue burns calories constantly-even when you're asleep.

You might want to try these sites. But keep away from model fitness videos. Those people didn't obtain their bodies by diet or exercise. They were born that way.
