I just bought a new Belkin AC 1200 and when I installed it all of my families laptops connected but mine. When I open up the area where all of my wireless connections are it does not show up. I can see my neighbors, and when I hook up the old router I can easily connect to its signal. I have tried many things and cannot figure it out some help would be greatly appreciated.

@cerealkiller90,
The Belkin AC 1200 supports Wi-Fi 802.11g, and Wi-Fi 802.11n technology.

Perhaps your laptop only has the older Wi-Fi 802.11a, or Wi-Fi 802.11b technology.

@mesquite,

Unplug the router for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and see if the signal improves once the router re-initializes. If that solves it, remember this step and repeat if needed. This happens from time to time and routers sometimes need a re-boot.
