Ipod Third Gen not working after reset

I have a jail-broken iPod touch third gen that I tried restoring. It is now stuck on the apple boot logo, and hard recovery or whatever you call it is not working, neither is the DFU. My computer also isn't picking up my ipod

You'll have to completely uninstall, then re-install itunes for a start.
