Alone does not mean.............................

peopleless,
It merely means no face.
It doesn't mean an eremite,
Nor gone without a trace.

Alone means struggling to belong
To some small dot in time
That only to ourselves
Impose the swiftness of a rhyme

That fragments ere we write the word,
In disappearing ink.

and in between we close our minds
and just forget to think.
