Not sure I've been on the right track with the question 'Whose first novel, written as a teenager, concerns a nobleman who is the 'quixote' referred to in the title?' Any clues/nudges appreciated.
Cervantes wrote Don Quixote.

As far as I can tell, Don Quixote was published when Cervantes was in his 50's & he wrote it only a few years earlier. I'm looking for a novelist who was then a teenager. ''Whose first novel, written as a teenager, concerns a nobleman...'. Thanks.
