I just noticed Stoat is here, hmm, I see I am late in that, ooooooh, my day has been made. I p.m.'d him a hello. Hope that doesn't send him scurrying...

Welcome, Midnight, Medea, and Arwen!

Thanks osso. I suspect this was largely due to your diligence in tracking him down. Hope there are no email verification problems and we soon see him on the boards.

Hi, I'm new!
Hi, I'm a newbie - and it's really a strange feeling...

I am a regular poster at the IMDb Message Boards, but a friend recommended me to visit these boards here, and on first sight I am really impressed!

I fear it will take some time to get familiar here, but I have the feeling that I could find here a new home...

Welcome, Brunt - love your avatar! I hope we see a lot of you here. You will find a number of fellow Brits here - some are planning a get-together in London.

Hello brunt, glad you decided to join A2K. When I first joined it felt a little awkward, but it didn't take me long to get used to the layout and how to maneuver around in here. There are lots of great people and topics here. If you have any problems, check out the FAQ, or PM one of the guides or moderators to help you out. Enjoy!

Actually I'm from Germany...
I am a German, I just work in England.

I'm from Dortmund and went to Bristol last spring. So don't be irritated by my English, the British English isn't really different from the Australian - it is just me! Laughing

Re: my signature...
I'm glad that you like it - it's a line from "Miss Congeniality", spoken by Michael Caine. He was surely the best from the whole movie.

In reality I try not to be grumpy or miserable, but so I have a good excuse

brunt, WELCOME to A2K. A German in the UK with some tendency toward grumpy should make for an interesting interaction on A2K. I look forward to seeing you - frequently on many different political and controversial subjects. Wink c.i.

Glad to see you here, Brunt. You'll find there are a couple of Germans here, too, along with the Brits, Aussies and 'Merrcuns.

Oh Gawd!! I can't forget the Canadjuns. eh-Beth would kill me. And Texans. Yeh, yeh, Texans. They're here too. Are they the same as Americans? Well, depends on who you talk to.

Phoenix, someone (from Brooklyn) once told me, "Brooklyn isn't really a place. It's a state of mind."
