I'm not sure I understand your message, JM (I KNOW I don't understand Satt's). But despite the fact that you are kidding about the 98% sharing of Jesus and an atheist (Jesus is to a believer what an ape is to an atheist), are you suggesting that when a Christian believer loses his faith he also loses DNA?

One can also lose the faith in DNA.
(Lost faith in DNA does not imply non-existence of DNA.)

Is that why Jesus was born of a virgin, and he never produced any himself? c.i.

JL.
...You you mentioned God "herself". Let me get this straight. "God Herself", had a baby with Mary. Hmm...what is wrong with this picture?

As far as this DNA discusion goes; and it has in my opinion already gone too far down a meaningless dark alley, unlikely tobear any fruit.
With relation to the crossing of DNA between humans and gods, the process can be described by "DNA" - doesn't normally 'appen!
Is that sufficiently inane to allow me to join the club? Please, please!

For some reason, these last few missives, have Steely Dan's, "Deacon Blues", dancing through my head*. Let's make that our theme song.
...*Allright, who's the wise guy that said, "plenty of dancing room? )

JLNobody,
Regarding you puzzlement implicit in your post in which you state:
Quote:
"I'm not sure I understand your message, JM (I KNOW I don't understand Satt's). No, I was just being a smart a$$ . You deserve all of the credit for your clever analogy! (Reminds me of some of the questions on an SAT exam).
However, upon further reflection I do notice the similarity between the God/Mary/Jesus situation and the Greek God/Human/ Demi-God myth.
Therefore my suggestion:
Quote:
However, since the Greek's believed that their Gods mated with humans and the offspring were a combination of the two, DNA analysis in this area might prove a more fruitful and interesting area of study
is of no consequence.
JM
