2 New Riddles. Could sum1 help me with the answer?
Jim and Bill were talking at the local pub. Bill told Jim how his grandfather in World War I led a battalion against a German division and defeated them through brilliant manoeuvres and gained valuable territory. He then went onto say that his grandfather was presented with a sword that was inscripted "To Captain Smith for Bravery, Daring and Leadership. World War One" immediately after the battle. Jim looked at Bill and said "You really expect me to believe that?" What is wrong with the story?
It was WWII and 3 American soldiers were planning on escaping their prisoner of war camp. They jumped off the roof onto three German officers. They overpowered the officers and put on the uniforms. Each uniformed fitted the men to perfection. They then walked into a local beer hall to plan their escape. As soon as they walked into the beer hall a senior German officer stood up and ordered the men to be arrested as they weren't really German. How did this German officer know they were imposters?[/b]
BTW: What kind of Forum is this (eg. vBulletin etc.)
First Riddle:
They didn't call it 'World War I'. When it was referred to, it was called 'The Great War'. Besides, how would they know then that there would be another war? It was, after all, the War to End All Wars.
Second Riddle:
Hmm. . .they were black?
The forums are PHP.
I figured out the second one, YAY!
I'll let other ppl figure it out, because it looks stupid me posting the answer to my own thread
The senior officer was the camp commandant and he simply recognized them?
Turner's They were black sounds like a good answer to me. Or they were speaking English perhaps. But them being black sounds to me like the definitive answer.
Not all American people are black.
