Hey all - hoping someone can help me with this!
Years ago, I came across a quote somewhere online, along the lines of, "You can use the semicolon exactly twice in your life - use them wisely." The idea, of course, being to discourage overuse of the semicolon.
I'm one of those semicolon sticklers myself - I hate them. So every now and then, I get into a debate with a friend over their usage, and I remember this quote and wish I could pull it out to support my argument. Does anybody know where this comes from? I'm guessing I don't have the quote quite right, since a lot of Googling has so far gotten me no where.
Best,
Ben
