I have a internet account with toast.net that includes 50 megs of web space and 1 gig of transfers. I would like to be able to host pictures in this space for use on eBay auction or for pictures I include in forum posts. Here's a link to the "Member Web Pages" section on toast.net. http://www.toast.net/members/WebPages/ I thought I could just upload the pictures in step #3 and then link to that ftp address. Well I was able to copy the pictures into my toast.net ftp folder, but when I try linking to the pictures nothing shows up except a blank placeholder for the picture. Do I have to create a website with the pictures in it and link to that? I'm not really sure how this works. I'm sending this same message to toast.net help support in case they can help, but I'm not sure if they help out with web coding.

what's your member name - privatemessage if you way

Alternatively, you could have them go to http://members.toast.net and enter your user name in the bottom right.

I got it working now. Yep Craven, I was trying to use the ftp address. Toast.net e-mailed me the correct http address. Thank you both for the advice.

Hihi. Sorry for hijacking onto this thread but I guess my question is somewhat related and please forgive my ignorance!

I would also like to post pics on forums and stuff, but I've no idea how to host them. I do know how to link to them, but where can I upload them to?

Glad you hitched a ride,Sarius!
PC Magazine (March 2004) gives a top rating to www.smugmug.com I am a newbie and hope others will give a lot of input to this thread (Thanks efulitz).

What I'd like to do is have a smugmug type set up with a scrolling column at the right for user input. I got this idea when I saw a scrolling set up with reference to text rather than pictures at www.beliefnet.com

I'd also like to link to this forum.

thanks
