God Spoke To Me Today!
It was cold last night as I awoke to the dawn of a new day. I thought about my kids and animals, did they sleep well? Were they warm and ok? I arose from the bed and found the heat was off, the coffee wasn't made, no electricity to start the day.
God spoke to me today; He said it would be ok;
God spoke to me today in a very different way.
I went upstairs to check on the kids, they were bundled up and sleeping, with the animals covered on their beds. So I felt I should go to the store and get them something hot, since electricity we had not.
As I bundled up to leave, a feeling of warmth came over me; I looked back and thought I saw an angel, and then said it couldn't be. So I headed out the door, knowing I'd be right back, nothing would happen, it was just another snowy cold day.
God spoke to me today; He said it would be ok;
God spoke to me today in a very different way.
God spoke to me today; I wasn't thinking, he said it would be ok;
As I was walking down to the corner store, a few blocks away, I heard the fire house whistle blow; I took a moment to ask God please be sure and help those in trouble, or who may not know. Then I began to wonder, did I blow out that candle by the stove? Sure I did! I wouldn't chance it, letting it go.
As I reached the store they knew me by name, they asked what I was doing there? The police scanner said a house near mine was a flame. Then I panicked and ran down the street. I was calling to God; please don't let it be, not my house, the children and animals are asleep. As I neared the corner desperation took over, it was my house and all I could see were flames, the fireman were fighting it for me. I fell to my knees screaming and crying out to God, begging him to not let it be! I was screaming in agony to save my children and the animals, they're my only family;
Tears were running down my face as I was crying and screaming in a panic, yelling "take me, take me, please not the children and animals, take me!
I left the candle burning, please take me!
The neighbors new it was my house as they talked to a fireman, and pointed at me. The next thing I knew there were fireman and medics attending to me! As I looked up at the charred rubble of what was my future to be. I saw 3 angels and God staring back at me.
God spoke to me today; He said it would be ok;
God spoke to me today in a very different way.
God spoke to me today; He said: "You'll be ok;"
God spoke to me today;
God spoke to me today;
God spoke to me today and said they'll all be ok;
God spoke to me today;
God spoke to me today;
God spoke to me today and said:
"There in a better place now, you see?"
"Until I call on you, I'll keep them close to me!"
God spoke to me today. He said:
"They're ok!"
The moral to this story is:
When you're in charge of the welfare of others, always, always in situations such as the previous one. Double and triple check your moves and actions of what you're doing, or have done, before you leave. It may be the lives of those you save, that one day save yours!
